The position offers the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that connect systems to mission needs while working directly alongside users.
Responsibilities:
- Develop solutions that integrate systems with mission objectives using coding and modeling techniques.
- Collaborate with analysts to effectively translate analytical requirements into software enhancements.
- Utilize Python libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy) for data analysis and modeling.
- Integrate data processing and visualization techniques to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Apply rapid prototyping methodologies in an Agile environment to iterate on analytical solutions.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
- Leverage advanced geospatial data processing and GIS services to meet mission needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Experience:
- 5+ years as a data scientist or analytic methodologist (including data analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance), and/or 5+ years in GEOINT (or similar) analysis.
- 3+ years working with GIS data, systems, and services.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python coding, modeling, and data science principles.
- Proven experience using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy for data analysis.
- Strong ability to collaborate with analysts on mission-critical projects and translate analytical needs into actionable software enhancements.
- Expertise in integrating data processing and visualization techniques with subject matter knowledge to craft mission-specific solutions.
- Experience applying rapid prototyping and Agile development methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in advancing ideas from research to operational systems.
- Proven experience with cross-functional collaboration to develop analytical solutions from concept to deployment.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to obtain or maintain a polygraph.
Desired:
- Experience with Intelligence Analysis or prior experience as an NGA Analyst.
- Familiarity with imagery and data collection techniques.
- Background in analytic modeling and enterprise Python solutions.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts.
- Experience designing and debugging software for mission-focused applications.
- Proficiency in web application development concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple applications and create workflow diagrams.
- Experience building scalable solutions to complex mission challenges.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and software CM tools (e.g., Subversion, GIT, JIRA, Confluence).
- Security+ Certification.
