Financial Readiness Support Specialist

This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.

As a Financial Readiness Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive support to clients seeking financial assistance and guidance. Your responsibilities will encompass various administrative tasks and client interactions to ensure the smooth operation of our financial readiness program. Key duties include welcoming visitors, screening phone calls, distributing program applications, and assisting clients with paperwork to meet program standards. You will also facilitate client out-processing and contribute to the development of essential documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and After Action Reviews (AARs).

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Financial Readiness Support: $17.75/hour

Pay commensurate with experience.

Financial Readiness Support Specialist Responsibilities Include:
  • Welcome visitors and assist potential clients as needed to determine needs.
  • Receive and screen phone calls. Refer telephone calls to appropriate staff members or to appropriate agencies as necessary.
  • Distribute program applications/paperwork to potential clients and assist clients with paperwork as needed to ensure all paperwork is appropriately completed per program standards.
  • Assist with out-processing clients as necessary for program.
  • Assist with writing documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and After Action Reviews (AARs) as requested by Program Manager. Ensure all documents are free of grammatical errors before being signed by ACS Director and/or Garrison Commander.
  • Comprise packets as needed for classes, trainings, and briefings. Ensure sign-in sheets are available as necessary for schedule events for staff.
  • Maintain program records per IMCOM Certification standards
  • Utilize AER/FRP Information Systems to upload documents as required by program regulations
  • Assist Program Manager with social media campaigns, marketing requests, and community awareness/outreach for the program and upcoming events.
  • Schedule appointments for AER/FRP staff members and perform administrative duties as directed/requested by Program Manager.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Financial Readiness Support Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
  • High school diploma and three years of experience in a work setting (can be a combination of volunteer and paid) greeting clients, evaluating needs, and providing information and referral services.
  • Must be able and willing to talk to clients and assist with training elements.
  • Must be able and willing to complete all Financial Literacy and Milestone.
  • Training elements, in order to properly convey the services, the programming offers.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
