ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in Doral, FL.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for software applications, systems and processes, including user manuals, system guides, release notes, and knowledge base articles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.
  • Translate technical information into clear and concise documentation that is easily understandable by end-users.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all technical documentation produced.
  • Organize and structure information effectively to facilitate easy navigation and retrieval of documentation.
  • Review and edit existing documentation to improve clarity, accuracy, and readability.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, quality assurance, and product managers, to gather information and provide input on documentation requirements.
  • Adhere to established documentation standards and guidelines.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, information technology, computer science, or related field of study
    • Masters degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
    • PhD degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the IT industry
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DoD programs.
  • Familiarity with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or other IT Service Management Frameworks
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) .
