The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's advanced network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This role involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco network hardware and software, implementing security protocols, and providing expert technical support for network-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and enforce advanced network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
• Manage user access and permissions in accordance with company policies.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations.
• Document network configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Stay updated on emerging network technologies and recommend strategic improvements.
• Provide expert technical support and mentorship to end-users and IT staff.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to optimize network performance.
• Conduct routine system audits and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications required (e.g., Cisco CCNP); CCIE certification is preferred.
• Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret Clearance is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Network Administrator or similar role.
• Extensive experience with Cisco network infrastructure and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and security practices.
• Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
