As our Metrology Manager, you will lead and oversee the calibration, maintenance, and quality control of our measurement systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of metrology practices, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring precise measurements that uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together. Our organization helps propel us forward and achieve true mission partnership.
What You'll Do:
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99410 - $168997
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

What You'll Do:
- Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and manage a team of calibration technicians, technical specialists and quality engineers.
- Develop and implement metrology processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure staff training and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Calibration and Maintenance:
- Oversee the calibration of measuring instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy.
- Develop schedules for regular equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve metrology-related issues promptly.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1 Z540.3, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct audits, inspections, and reviews of measurement systems and processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of calibration activities and certifications.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency and accuracy improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies for measurement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall product quality.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits related to metrology.
- Prepare reports on calibration trends, performance metrics, and compliance.
- Ensure all metrology operations align with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field plus 6 years or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Solid knowledge of calibration equipment, measurement systems, and applicable industry standards.
- Proficiency in metrology software and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
