This unique role focuses on contributing to the evolution of a mature facial recognition system by implementing, testing, and deploying software updates. Typical Day:
Work a standard 40-hour week remotely (preferred candidates will be based near Tampa or Orlando).
Collaborate with the project manager weekly to define development tasks and review progress.
Deliver software demonstrations for developed features at the end of each week or sprint.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI (Xamarin experience also considered).
Build and maintain biometrics services for cross-platform deployment using .NET Core.
Develop scalable services and integrate them into Docker containers for seamless deployment.
Incorporate biometric algorithms into mobile and server-based collection applications.
Test applications in an AWS Cloud Computing Environment to ensure robust performance.
Collaborate on mobile and web application integration to achieve optimal functionality and reliability.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
8–10 years of software development with C#.
3–5 years working on .NET website development and REST APIs.
3–5 years developing and testing biometric applications (e.g., fingerprint, facial recognition).
Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with ANSI/NIST EBTS v1.2 and 4.1 standards.
Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Docker, and IIS/NGINX web servers.
Knowledge of Android development principles and best practices.
Working knowledge of the AWS cloud ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin for Android application development.
Exposure to Java and C++ programming languages.
Expertise in designing scalable systems and synchronizing mobile/server environments.
Familiarity with IT security protocols and best practices for biometric systems.
Citizenship & Clearance:
Must be eligible to obtain U.S. Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
