Background:
This position supports the discovery, implementation, and sustainment of a ServiceNow suite for a dedicated Department of Defense (DoD) community with significant DoD leadership visibility. The Business Analyst will play a critical role in defining and documenting requirements, working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of a multi-product solution that includes IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD). The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who excels at gathering and analyzing complex information, translating it into actionable requirements, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
This position is based 4 days onsite/1 day remote.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, process workflows, and functional requirements for ServiceNow implementations
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions, interviews, and workshops to capture detailed use cases and user stories that align with program objectives
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, process flow diagrams, data models, and user acceptance test (UAT) plans
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, developers, and other implementation team members to ensure requirements are clearly understood and actionable
- Analyze and document current business processes, identify gaps, and recommend solutions to optimize workflows using ServiceNow capabilities
- Support the prioritization of the product backlog by working closely with the Product Owner to align requirements with mission-critical needs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring clear communication of business requirements
- Conduct UAT sessions, facilitate feedback collection, and assist in validating that delivered functionality meets user needs and program expectations
- Provide input on training materials, user guides, and change management efforts to support successful deployment and user adoption
- Assist in creating metrics and dashboards to measure program success and provide insights for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on technology projects, preferably involving ServiceNow or enterprise IT solutions
- Experience working with DoD or federal programs is highly desirable
- Certifications:
- Agile certification preferred (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster [CSM], Certified Business Analysis Professional [CBAP], or PMI-ACP)
- ITIL certification or ServiceNow-specific certifications (e.g. CSA) are a plus
- Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HAM, SAM, or HRSD
- Proficiency with requirements management and Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow Agile Development
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable deliverables
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in process modeling, requirements elicitation, and writing detailed functional specifications
- Clearance:
- Active Security clearance required; eligibility for higher-level clearance is a plus
