Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. What You'll Do asa Tier I Linux Systems Administrator:
- Provide first-line technical support for software, hardware, network infrastructure, and system security within a Linux HPC environment.
- Address and resolve user issues related to HPC system operations and maintenance with professionalism and efficiency.
- Assist Senior Systems Administrators in optimizing hardware and software performance.
- Manage and maintain Linux user accounts, triaging Tier 1 tickets, and producing service ticket reports.
- Collaborate with the Linux SA and engineering teams to install, configure, and test HPC components, including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
- Perform hardware replacements, manage backup solutions, and implement security measures to maintain compliance with all program requirements.
- Work with network personnel to configure equipment, ensure network security, and manage firewalls.
- Adhere to established IT policies, processes, and procedures while effectively managing changing priorities.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field andor 8-10 years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- Current IAT II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Strong bash scripting skills and familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Experience with VMware vSphere 6+, Kubernetes, containerized technologies, Ansible, and PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and expertise in securing and hardening Linux systems to meet RMF controls.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Experience with tools like CUDA, Google TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
