Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Radiance is searching for an experienced Information System Security Officer to join Radiance's corporate classified systems security team which provides support to critical computer systems and network infrastructure. The qualified candidate will ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for each system within their scope, ensure compliance with applicable information assurance requirements, and create and update relevant system documents as required. Work hours are normal business hours, however, occasional support during non-business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the compliance of security settings for operating systems, to include Windows, Unix/Linux, etc. on assigned classified information systems.
• Complete regular information system baseline and vulnerability reviews using tools such as Tenable Nessus and SCAP Compliancy Checker.
• Review system audit reports as required by the ConMon plan to identify and report security-relevant events.
• Assist customers with accomplishing change requests and work with system administrator counterparts to fulfill the system impact analysis (SIA) process prior to Change Control Board review and acceptance.
• Continuously track hardware, software, and system account changes.
• Participate in local and cross-site system inspection and self-assessment events.
• Respond to information system incidents, perform initial evaluation of each incident, begin corrective measures, and report incidents to ISSM.
• Assist Radiance teams and project managers with planning new projects to meet RMF and specific customer security requirements.
• Understand basic Linux, Windows, and network infrastructure requirements to effectively assist system administrators with implementing changes and new solutions that meet security requirements.
• Work jointly with the system ISSM to complete annual documentation reviews and updates.
• Create and maintain process documentation for any functions relating to your role.
• Provide guidance and assistance to others on the information security team so that all processes and their procedures remain consistent and up-to-date.
• Ability to evaluate and gain comprehension of new technologies to assist with new requirement implementation efforts.
• Experience with log aggregation technologies allowing for the collection and filtering of Linux syslog and audit trails.
• Experience with supporting software development environments that utilize commercial, GOTS, and custom tooling.
• Experience preparing documentation related to system configurations and baselines.
• Experience with desktop and server virtualization within VMWare vSphere and EXSI.
• Provide daily, on-site, support for the assigned information systems.

• Demonstrated experience with information systems deployments in an air-gapped environment.
• Experience with the proper marking, handling, and storage of classified materials.

Required Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with numerous cognizant security agencies, customers, and senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding environment.
• Basic knowledge of Risk Management Framework requirements and how they impact the configuration requirements for Windows and Linux systems.
• Previous experience working in a classified Collateral environment.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Network Engineering, or closely related discipline.

• Active Security+ CE or equivalent DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Management Level II or III certification.
• Minimum of a valid Secret clearance with in-scope background investigation date.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment.
• Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information system security.

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience as an Information Systems Security Officer at an organization of similar size and complexity.

• Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity related tools to include, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and vulnerability scanners.

• Knowledge of and ability to securely configure network equipment (switches and firewalls).
• Experience in Information Assurance and Cyber Security.
• Familiar with NISPOM/RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, and NIST/DFARS compliance security controls and how to implement on various OS computer systems.
• At least one year of experience working with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) tool.
• Experience auditing Linux-based systems.
• Previous experience working in a SAP / SCI environment.
