ASRC Federal / Broadleaf is seeking qualified candidates to fill our Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) position supporting our Army Analytics Group (AAG) located in Fairfield CA.

We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Azure-based cloud solutions. The role involves working closely with development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the efficient, reliable, and secure operation of cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Deployment:


    • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
    • Implement and manage virtual networks, storage, and virtual machines.


  • Monitoring and Maintenance:


    • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues.
    • Ensure system availability, performance, and security.


  • Security and Compliance:


    • Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
    • Manage access controls and identity management within Azure.


  • Automation and Optimization:


    • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
    • Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud resources.


  • Collaboration and Support:


    • Work closely with development teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
    • Provide support and guidance to other team members on cloud best practices.


  • Documentation and Reporting:


    • Document cloud architecture, configurations, and procedures.
    • Prepare regular reports on system performance and usage.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory.
    • Experience with cloud security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
    • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Git.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


    Clearance Level:
    • Active Secret Security Clearance


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
    • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS) is a plus.
