Epsilon C5I, Inc. (http://epsilonsystems.com/c5i), is seeking a skilled and motivated System Administrator/Network Technician III with 4-8 years of experience, to join our team in San Diego. Position Summary:
This individual will lead the development, configuration, and testing of critical program systems. This role requires a hands-on professional with a strong background in network technologies, Linux administration, and virtual environments. The selected individual will lead a team of five (including ISSM, ISSE, and System Administrators), ensuring the success of key initiatives through effective leadership and technical expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, identify, and prioritize configurations for program systems to meet operational needs.
  • Design and implement router and switch configurations to optimize network performance and security.
  • Collaborate on the development of testing strategies, test cases, plans, and reports.
  • Support and actively participate in the execution of software regression testing.
  • Evaluate emerging system and network technologies and provide recommendations for integration.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Linux+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or VMware certifications are highly desirable.
  • A track record of effectively managing technical projects and delivering results in fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on experience with network routers and switches.
  • Proficiency in Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Experience in database administration and development.
  • Candidates must have an active TS Clearance with SCI access
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise with Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in virtual machine technologies (VMware, vCenter, vSphere).
  • Strong understanding of IP networks and their configurations.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of technical professionals, including ISSMs, ISSEs, and System Administrators.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and ensure team success.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $100,000 To $130,000 Annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
    Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
