Overview
AFRL plans and executes USAF programs in the areas of basic research, exploratory development, and advanced development. Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is currently providing organizational support to AFRL. This support includes tasks to ensure an effective Information Management concept and structure, that fosters timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems to support the research of the AFRL mission.

This support includes tasks to ensure an effective Information Management concept and structure, that fosters timely deployment and optimal operation of Information Systems to support the research of the AFRL mission.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage complex systems and networks.
- Ensure the availability, security, and performance of servers, storage, and networking infrastructure.
- Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and system monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Manage and mentor junior team members to ensure quality service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Active CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570 equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience in a system administration role with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix and Windows Server operating systems.
- Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
- Experience with storage technologies such as SAN/NAS, RAID, and disk arrays.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
