Position Title: Deployment Manager

Location: Ramstein AB, Germany

Clearance: Secret

Job Description:

Mission Essential is seeking a Deployments Manager to provide HQ U-A/A4C staff logistics support to include management, planning, programming, and technical advice in areas of deployment readiness, mobility, force protection, operations, and combat support. The specific tasks and knowledge/experience required include the following:

• Knowledge in all aspects of the Global Force Management process and Aerospace Expeditionary Force deployment functions to include the processes for posturing, sourcing, training, tasking, and deploying USAFE Civil Engineering personnel and equipment.

• Experience with DRRS, JOPES and DCAPES computer products required with active accounts.

• Experience in military planning, operations and logistics, to include a working knowledge of military manpower and personnel systems.

• Familiarity with US Army operations and training in order to support Joint Force Taskings (JFT), as well as USAFE and Headquarter Air Force organizations and functions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and TMT.

• Ability to provide operational and professional support service tasks (Example: project planning, coordinating, training, etc)

• Oversee all USAFE Civil Engineering deployment taskings for personnel and equipment to support operational planning and execution.

• Create an average of two (2) informed decision briefings per week as workload requires.

• Attend weekly staff meetings, Operational Planning Team (OPT), conferences, and additional meetings as required to perform duties.

• Prepare Designed Operational Capability (DOC) statements

• Monitor monthly Readiness reports at the Major Command (MAJCOM) level, as well as identify discrepancies within USAFE Civil Engineer unit level and assist unit representatives with drafting possible course of action (COA) solutions and get-well dates (GWD);

• Support JFT using knowledge of US Army operations and training. As many as 50% of the deployment taskings may be JFT taskings that fill US Army requirements.

• Manage, draft, and update MAJCOM level memorandums, Deployed Personnel Action Requests (DPAR), and Deployment Availability Waivers (DAV), and assist with developing deployment trending decision briefs for division and directorate level leadership as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 years of which must be in the DoD OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 5 years of which must be in the DoD.
