Solidus is searching for a Software Engineer.
You will join a team where you will learn about a breadth of software tools and technologies, software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense projects and satellite ground system technologies.
This position is located in Aurora, CO. Candidates must be able to work on-site.
Day in the Life:
- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
- Work with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
What you will bring:
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI
- BS in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience designing and developing object-oriented software using Java.
- Experience delivering application software.
- Ability to troubleshoot software errors and provide fixes.
Preferred Skills:
- Modernizing legacy systems.
- Working with COTS/FOSS and performing COTS/FOSS upgrades.
- Experience with some area of satellite ground system software such as mission management, planning and scheduling, command and telemetry, satellite operations, or flight dynamics models.
- Developing software using C++ and Python.
- Working with a large-scale legacy software system.
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 - $170,000. Customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies and certifications, clearance status, and benefit selections will influence the final salary.
