Mission:
This is a System Engineer position supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.

Mission:
This is a System Engineer position supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, a government program office addressing Army Air and Missile Defense systems, with focus on Mission Command systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work with contractors, government civilians, and system operators to develop system level concepts that provide solutions to problems that often involve multiple systems.
- These concepts define external interfaces, outline system behavior, and establish performance and acceptance criteria necessary to support HW and SW engineering teams.
- Tasks include leading reviews and adjudicating comments made against the concepts.
- Concept development will utilize a model-based system engineering (MBSE) approach.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- US Citizen and a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- Candidate should have 3-7 years of progressively complex experience in system engineering or related experience.
- Candidate must have experience in two or more of the following areas: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, hardware, requirement decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Candidate needs to have a record of taking initiative and being a team player in a small team environment.
- Candidate must be comfortable working as a team member in an Agile environment and be willing to engage various levels of stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions can meet the needs of the intended users.
- Candidate must be highly organized with a strong technical background in system engineering principles.
- Candidate must be able to acquire or possess (as well as maintain) a US Secret security clearance, with possibilities of working at higher classification levels.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in support of DoD programs is highly desired, especially in an Army Air and Missile Defense program.
- Hands on experience creating models in Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF are desired.
- Experience using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence and SAFe© Agile experience are a plus.
