We are looking for a TS/SCI cleared Cloud Engineer to join our team and support a key intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you'll contribute to groundbreaking projects that keep systems secure while driving innovation and efficiency.
How You'll Make a Real Impact:
As a Cloud Engineer, you'll be instrumental in supporting a complex and dynamic enterprise exploitation environment. You'll be the key player in ensuring seamless cloud operations and security while working on cutting-edge technologies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting large-scale data collection from a complex server, network infrastructure, and a wide user base.
- Staying adaptable and learning new technologies to meet evolving demands.
- Documenting work and participating in the customer's change management processes.
- Collaborating with a high-performing team, sharing knowledge, and learning from others to ensure overall success.
- Designing and defining system architecture for both new and existing computer systems.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud engineering, with an understanding of how cloud environments function.
- Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Rackspace, and private cloud platforms like VMware or OpenStack.
- Hands-on experience with Hadoop and other cloud technologies.
- Deep knowledge of cloud technologies like IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Expertise in networking technologies (MPLS, routing protocols, IPAM, DNS, DHCP), and components such as load balancers, firewalls, and both virtual and physical infrastructure design.
- Experience with hypervisors like VMware ESXi, Citrix XenServer, or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Systems administration experience in a production environment, especially as an architect, administrator, or operator.
- Strong understanding of security principles, especially in cloud environments, and experience with systems hardening to DoD standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
- BS degree in a technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues efficiently.
- Background in Unix, Solaris, or Windows servers.
- Scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Perl) to automate tasks.
- Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM).
- Experience with security compliance, log management, and identity monitoring activities.
- Architect, build, and maintain Hadoop and cloud infrastructure to support large-scale data operations.
- Apply configuration management practices to ensure hardware/software revisions, patches, and security updates are maintained.
- Develop use cases, dashboards, and reports to enhance system performance and visibility.
- Collaborate with security analysts and engineering teams to ensure security requirements are met and maintained.
- Support the development of security-related processes, including event collection, compliance automation, and log management.
- Coordinate with vendors and other service providers to support shared infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance checks, ensuring systems operate efficiently and securely.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $120-140k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
