We are seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to support critical government programs. The successful applicant will employ or recommend automated configuration management (CM) tools to implement CM policies and procedures. They will develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. The Configuration Manager will implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems and perform change control and configuration audits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize configuration management tools to store, track, and manage configuration items.
  • Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop the environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration.
  • Define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
  • Develop and enforce hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) the Change Management Board (CMB).
  • Ensure that configuration management practices are followed for all hardware and software development projects.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
  • Experience working with Continuous Integration tools such as GitLab.
  • Experience designing and managing a Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Experience working in an AGILE environment.
  • Proven experience managing hardware and software configuration baselines.
  • Familiarity with Risk and Issue Management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • A proven track record of working effectively within a team and supporting peers to improve processes and results.
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the government contracts supported.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and the cloud ecosystem.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • DoD 8570.11- IAT Level II certification (currently Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP along with an appropriate computing environment (CE) certification)
