Excelity is seeking Systems Engineer for a project responsible for building the next generation Mission Integration System for an exciting Government customer with a very critical mission. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team as a jack-of-all-trades, maintaining applications running in Kubernetes, working as a Linux systems administrator, and working with the Information Assurance team to maintain systems documentation. This position is 100% on-site.
Required Clearance: TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience OR a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience; an additional 4 years of experience maybe considered in lieu of a degree requirement
5 years deploying and maintaining systems running on Linux or other UNIX-like systems – including at least 2 years of Linux
5 years of software/system design and architecture
5 years maintaining systems documentation
3+ years of enterprise-level software development
Preferred Qualifications:
Security+ or equivalent certification and willingness to serve as a privileged user supporting deployed systems testing
2 years working with DevOps or DevSecOps teams in deploying and troubleshooting container-based systems
2 years’ experience with Kubernetes (Red Hat OpenShift or another variant)
Experience with NiFi
Experience with Requirements management
Experience with cross-domain systems
