Job Title: Senior Sales Executive
Work Location: Herndon, VA
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI
Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities:
Visionary Solutions is seeking a seasoned individual to join our team as a Senior Sales Executive. This position will be responsible for building relationships to facilitate expanded sales opportunities and fostering long-term customer relationships. We’re seeking a self-motivated individual who will be solely responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, driving the sales strategy and performance, and overall contribute to the growth of the business.
The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies to grow our company’s market through new business partnerships. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the federal and commercial industry and will lead the overall business development strategy and vision for the company.
• Screen potential business deals by analyzing the market, market strategies, business potential, internal priorities and overall company investment for partnership opportunities.
• Develop new business by locating, defining, negotiating, and maintaining business relationships including pipeline relationships for future collaboration.
• Support contract capture opportunities, including shaping deals with customers, developing team strategies, collaborating with teammates and understanding the pricing market to develop a win strategy.
• Plan business development opportunities to attain maximum potential volume and growth for the organization’s products and/or services, focusing on contracts within our scope and business expertise.
• Promote company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees to market company products and services.
• Identify optimal partnership opportunities based on company priorities.
• Provide feedback to the CEO, CTO and other senior leadership team members regarding competitive offerings and prospective needs to generate product development ideas available in the market.
• Extensive knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) plans, policies, standards, and methods including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
• Monitor external and internal environments for the development of new market segments and the company’s ability to staff based on award.
• Promote company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees to market company products and services.
• Manage multiple projects effectively based on current business objectives and reevaluate and adjust priorities accordingly as business goals evolve.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Finance, or a similar field; advanced degree preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years in a management position in the federal sector, working on contracts specific to information technology and networking engineering.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in government contracting operations, 8(a) business companies, program management, reporting and metrics, and/or risk management.
• Thorough knowledge of government contracts including SBA, FAR, DBA and SCA implications and regulations.
• Expertise in technical and management proposal writing and development.
• Must be able to obtain or verify an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Excellent communication skills needed to form strategic partnerships with industry partners, external stakeholders, and government customers.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business growth objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
• Must be able to travel up to 30% (CONUS and OCONUS).
Physical Requirements:
The work is performed in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. The individual will be required to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time and alternate between different stationary positions. The individual must also be able to move about the office at times. This position requires the ability to communicate frequently. This position may occasionally require the ability to ascend stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, lift light to medium objects, view and operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment and to withstand moderate noise and temperatures.
This position does require travel for business conferences, customer meetings, and other government and/or contractual needs as necessary.
