Overview

Standard Army Ammunition System (SAAS) SME

Location: Fort Gregg-Adams

Clearance: US Citizen

Provide SME support to ensure the integrity of existing interfaces and network connectivity and comply and keep current with the appropriate Department of Defense (DoD) Services, and Army architectures, programs, policies, standards and guidelines (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Net-Centric Enterprise Services, and Defense/Information Systems Network) for the Post Production Software Support Standard Army Ammunition System.

Responsibilities

· Provide support for helpdesk operations, perform in-depth requirements analysis and requirements decomposition; develop functional business rules and functional requirement documentation to support software sustainment activities necessary to ensure SAAS system reliability, availability and maintainability.

· Evaluate current methods, practices, policies, and procedures for alignment with Army-wide ammunition logistics management systems/subsystems.

· Develop Change Request/Change Item requirements; prepare test condition requirements; update benchmark test files; participate in all test activities to validate that software products perform to specifications.

· Develop or modify system documentation to include functional descriptions, user manuals, training and instructional materials (including FLARE).

· Elicit requirements from both external and internal sources to accurately derive and document the functional requirements.

· Perform/participate in feasibility studies for implementing new requirements and provide recommended solutions.

· Lead and/or participate in functional peer reviews.

· Create test scenarios and write test cases.

· Develop end user documentation and end user training.

· Develop project plans.

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor' degree with six (6) years' experience; OR

· Associates degree with eight (8) years' experience; OR

· 10 year's military experience as an E5 or above

· Thorough functional knowledge of ammunition (Class V) management and expertise of regulatory guidance governing the ammunition program to include receipt, storage, issue, transportation, inventory, maintenance, manufacturing, and demilitarization plus a familiarity with the organization, functions, and missions of multi- command Army activities, other service branches and interfacing partners. TAFCENT/USCENTCOM AOR or CAOC or Flying ISR experience

· Skilled with Microsoft office suite (word, excel, power point, etc.)

Preferred:

· A working knowledge of the SAAS system is desirable.
