Job Title: Senior Database Administrator (DBA)

Role Overview: The Senior DBA will play a pivotal role in the management of the U.S. Marine Corps Master Data Repository (MDR), ensuring the seamless transfer of operations from Marine Corps Logistics Command (LOGCOM) G6 to the Command Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). The Senior DBA will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity, performance, and security of CDAO's Oracle Enterprise Databases. The Senior DBA will also support the- migration of the Master Data Repository (MDR) from the Marine Corps on-premises hosting environment at the Kansas City Information Technology Center (KCITC) to LOGCOM's Microsoft Azure Government cloud environment, a key component of the Marine Corps' Integrated Mission Data Fabric (IMDF).

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the integrity, performance, and security of Oracle Enterprise Databases.
- Develop, maintain, and automate Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes for multiple Authoritative Data Sources (ADSs), including Mainframe, Secure File Gateway (SFG), and Web services.
- Create and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, Linux, or similar scripts for Developmental, Test, Data Engineering, and Production staging areas.
- Monitor database processes, script performance, and materialized views within the MDR.
- Troubleshoot daily load errors and provide ad-hoc queries as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Create and manage database accounts for a local and remote customer base.
- Ensure the ongoing accuracy of data ETL feeds by monitoring changes in source systems.
- Support the team in the migration of the MDR to the Azure Government cloud environment.
- Acquire proficiency with Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, to ensure seamless integration of MDR Oracle Enterprise Database operations within the cloud infrastructure.
- Build linkages and relationships between data fields
- Develop and deploy robust data pipelines and end-to-end systems.
- Work with vendors and internal teams to optimize the platform through hardware or software upgrades.
- Serve as a technical lead for an agile team, actively participating in all agile ceremonies.
- Assist with the Post Deployment System Support (PDSS) for applications residing on top of the MDR.
- Execute incident identification, tracking, and reporting during customer interactions.
- Maintain relationships with customers, assessing their IT needs and developing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with technical analysts to resolve global systems problems.
- Assist with the Service Request assistance and management submission to outside software support teams.
- Compile regular and ad-hoc metrics and reports.
- Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, including company and government leadership.
- Prepare deliverables per Government leadership instruction.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle database administration, particularly with Oracle 19c and newer versions with a commitment to master future releases.
- Oracle Database Administration 2019 Certified Professional
- Oracle Database PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional
- CompTIA Security+ ce certified
- Proficiency in SQL scripting, LINUX scripting, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Government cloud services is a plus, with a willingness to become proficient.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
