Data Center Concierge III

Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Data Center Concierge! In this role, you'll leverage your skills to handle semi-routine tasks that support our data center operations. With a focus on following standard operating procedures, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative processes.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support
  • Provide semi-routine administrative support for data center facilities
  • Answer incoming phone calls and follow standard procedures to ensure efficient communication
  • Manage work request systems, such as dispatch and updates, ensuring timely responses
  • Coordinate customer visits and schedules, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
  • Maintain conference room and tour schedules during customer on-site visits
  • Collaborate with the Equinix Response Center (ERC) for operational needs
  • Keep detailed records of data center activities, including circuit inventories, power installations, and labor hours
  • Create purchase requisitions and coordinate vendor deliveries and invoices as needed
  • Assist with special projects as required


Customer Support
  • Communicate operating procedures to customers on-site and build positive relationships
  • Coordinate customer work visits with security and escort them within the facility
  • Track and report on customer inquiries, identifying trends and ensuring timely resolutions
  • Address and complete work visit tickets in the system
  • Provide orientation tours for new customers to familiarize them with the site
  • Direct customers to appropriate locations or contacts as needed


On-Site Customer Liaison
  • Coordinate tasks with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain strong relationships with local vendors to support customers' needs
  • Share data center templates and documentation with customers via email, phone, or printouts
  • Ensure customer care areas and conference rooms are clean and well-stocked
  • Track and support customer shipment logistics during on-site visits
  • Identify and escalate customer satisfaction issues appropriately


Parking Operations Support
  • Assist with daily parking garage operations, including maintaining accurate parking assignments and access
  • Respond to and process work orders, including tenant and internal requests
  • Conduct parking audits and prepare reports for management
  • Manage parking revenue collection and coordinate with the parking company
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on visitor lot machines or escalate issues as needed
  • Order and distribute parking stickers and allotments for tenants, visitors, and staff
  • Conduct vehicle verification checks to ensure proper parking compliance
  • Use radio call signs to dispatch personnel for building operations


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a customer service or administrative role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
