Position Summary
SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications of Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences Concentration and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Position
Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer
- Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland
- Security Clearance: Active Clearance or Eligible to Obtain - U.S. citizenship required
- Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 Depending on Experience and Education
- Travel: 5%

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Mechanical/Mechatronics Researcher to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems to produce motion via motors, pneumatics, or other actuator types with optimized weight and energy demand.
- Fabricate mechanical prototypes using traditional (machining, composites manufacturing) and novel (additive manufacturing) techniques.
- Demonstrate mechanical prototypes in laboratory and relevant Army field environments.
Minimum Qualifications of Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences Concentration and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; if you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.
- Experience working in a research environment (educational experience allowable)
- Experience using SolidWorks to design prototype items
- Experience fabricating mechatronic systems integrating simple electrical features such as motors, lights, and heating elements.
- Hands-on fabrication skills: power tools, drill press, band saw, mill and lathe.
- Experience with polymer 3D printing, from CAD model development to finished product.
- Ability to code with Python is desired
