HumanIT is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission focused on NIPR (Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router) network operations. In this role, you will be supporting and potentially leading operational efforts throughout the entire development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring and maintaining cloud services (with a strong emphasis on AWS), and managing CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and proficient in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Basic Qualifications:
- Mid-Level experience in the following:
- Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including setting up, configuring, and managing AWS resources (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
- Experience with commercial or private cloud service providers.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly in the context of AWS services (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Experience deploying and maintaining highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale within AWS.
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Linux (Redhat or CentOS preferred).
- Working understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with change management documentation.
- Familiarity with monitoring and incident response.
- Experience installing and maintaining government programs in NIPR environments (experience with SIPR is a plus, but not required).
- Working understanding of Atlassian Jira and Confluence, along with Microsoft Teams.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services and architecture, including VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others.
- Understanding and working knowledge of containerization, including Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, or similar services within AWS.
- Experience using scripting languages (Bash, Python, Golang, etc.) to automate AWS resource provisioning and management.
- Experience securing Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and AWS environments.
- Exceptional technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, Golang, or similar scripting languages.
- Familiarity with database queries and SQL.
- Understanding of Appian BPM Platform.
- Experience with United States Air Force CloudOne or similar DoD private cloud services.
- 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field (computer science, software engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline), or
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 9 years of relevant experience.
