Emerging Markets Group (EMG) of AKIMA, LLC is seeking a Solutions Architect who will be responsible for providing technical solutions development of business opportunities and help fuel growth for the group.

This individual will provide technical expertise to translate business requirements into value added services and cost-efficient technology-enabled solutions and ensure continuous transformation to meet the evolving demands of the client's enterprise IT needs. The responsibilities also include leading or supporting key initiatives to assist EMG to identify opportunities and craft solutions that will maximize value of solution offerings by EMG. Responsibilities

  • Execute and / or facilitate solutions development efforts to support growth activities within EMG to drive innovation that lead to higher efficiency and effectiveness of the solutions and services proposed by EMG.
  • Lead the development / definition of a technology vision and solutions for projects or opportunities within the existing or target client base, including but are not limited to the solution architecture and roadmap and researching best practices and assessing solution options.
  • Develop white papers, briefs, proposals, and other corporate branding activities. Participate in customer meetings, oral presentations, and other growth activities as required.
  • Support Business Development and Capture team with the definition of use cases as well as Business Cases (scope, goals, deliverables, costs, timescales, plans, dependencies, resource requirements and milestones) for potential requirements.
  • Assist the business group's human capital development and reskilling initiatives to strengthen technical skills across the environment.
  • Assist the group leadership to determine and help orchestrate the delivery of business outcomes with the implementation of new technology initiatives as requested.
  • Research and understand industry technologies and nontechnology trends that apply to customer environment.
  • Develop partnerships with and maintain necessary requirements for certifications with our core Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) / Technology partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry, academia, and technical leaders within the GovCon ecosystem.
  • Support the review of business opportunities and determination as related to the company strategy and initiatives.
  • Support other corporate initiatives and projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in developing and delivering enterprise IT capabilities to the Federal Government.
  • Must have a Master's / advanced degree in technical disciplines; Master's degree may be substituted with 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in the English language with experience briefing senior technical and executive leadership. Must be able to demonstrate writing skills through providing writing samples or other means as requested.
  • Active DoD Top Secret.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Network and Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Virtualization platforms, and Cloud-enabled services delivery models. (Certifications in relevant technical disciplines are highly desired).
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with customer stakeholders to enhance and modernize IT infrastructure to align with client business portfolios and service-level requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex IT environment and developing scalable enterprise technology strategies across multiple platforms.
  • Understanding of the federal procurement lifecycle and proposal development processes (i.e. Shipley).
