Operations Research Analyst - Clearance Required

Job Description:

Perform studies and methodology development in support of the Navy's Analytic Master Plan (AMP)

Responsibilities include:

• Using a background in research analytics, understand research and methodology development projects/studies. Have a working knowledge of expected analytic products, deliverables, impact, and outcomes
• Utilize professional knowledge, tools, and methods of experimental design and methods; as well as techniques of operations research based upon mathematics, statistics, and organizational sciences.
• Provide advice or guidance on the feasibility of approaches, optimum design variables, cost effectiveness, reliability, and expected performance of developmental analytic systems.
• Analyze projects and other organizational studies to develop both short and long term metrics driven products to support program objectives. Track efforts within the AMP, link efforts to leadership guidance an priorities, and integrate process to the digital platform.
• Serve as a specialist in areas such as mathematical modeling of organizational behaviors and program outcomes, data and analytic architecture systems, return on investment analysis, or analytic program assessment.

Here's what you need:

• Minimum two (2) years ' experience in operational analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in the application of formal and informal analytical techniques, modeling complex problems, discovering insights and identifying patterns in data through the use of statistical analysis, data mining and management techniques.

Bonus points if you have:

• Four (4) years ' experience with Navy operational analysis preferred.
• General working knowledge of Navy structure

Security Clearance:

• Active Secret in DISS required
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (math, science, engineering, computer programming, or technical related field with Operations Research-related emphasis); Bachelor's Degree in a non-technical field may be substituted with 4 years of operations analysis experience.
