Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented PAEI Data Scientist. In this role, you w ill be responsible for analyzing and interpreting large volumes of publicly available electronic data to generate actionable insights. You will work closely with our DCSA partners as well as data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data-driven strategies are effective and aligned with our organizational goals.
Note: Preference will be given to candidates in the NCR that can commute to Hanover, MD and be on-site 2 days a week.

Salary Range:
$104,200.00 - $182,400.00

What You'll Be Doing:
- Analyze large datasets from publicly available electronic sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions
- Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms to extract valuable insights from data
- Collaborate with data engineers to design and maintain data collection processes, ensuring the integrity and quality of data from various public sources
- Integrate and manage data from diverse sources, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility for analysis and reporting
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or a related role
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Strong experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Active Secret-level clearance
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience with web scraping tools and techniques
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Understanding of data privacy and security best practices
