HR Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support our HR team located at our corporate headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. This role is highly visible and offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership across the organization. The ideal candidate will be organized, articulately customer-focused, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in an agile environment.

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government Secret clearance, including passing a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

The HR Assistant will provide essential support to the HR team, including:

• Delivering a welcoming onboarding experience for new hires
  
• Ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
  
• Responding to employee and manager inquiries and providing exceptional customer service
  
• Assisting benefits, training, and other HR related tasks
  
• Managing employee information and data entry in HRIS systems
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  
• Experience: 0-2 years of administrative or HR-related experience
  
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS or similar systems
  
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment
  
• A collaborative attitude and commitment to providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with HR operations in government contracting or similar environments
  
• Understanding of federal and state HR compliance requirements
  
• Paycom experience
