W2 Hourly Contract $62.50-$75 per hour *

Do you want to play a pivotal role in defining, developing, and sustaining test and integration plans for a live communication system? Join our team as a Communication Systems Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer for the MUOS (Mobile User Objective System) program and help provide our military personnel with enhanced communications giving them higher quality and much greater capacity than existing systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in communications, integration, and test to a critical defense program with far-reaching impact. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will work on a system that revolutionizes military communications, ensuring that our warfighters can stay connected in the most demanding environments.

Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Lead the integration and testing of large-scale communication systems, focusing on end-to-end functional test planning and execution for the MUOS program.
  • Collaborate with multiple development teams and government stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure successful implementation.
  • Plan and execute integration of system elements from multiple contractors and/or government agencies.
  • Take charge of system-level integration and verification, ensuring adherence to system requirements and quality standards.
  • Leverage expertise in 3G/5G communications, large-scale network management, satellite, or cellular communication systems to drive testing efforts.
  • Define and lead system-level integration and test/verification plans, with a focus on continuous improvement in testing processes and environments.
  • Use CI/CD pipelines to manage end-to-end system integration, regression, and verification activities.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to establish test plans and validate system behavior.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical direction to system engineering and I&T team members, ensuring success across the entire test life cycle.
  • Communicate technical information clearly, and present solutions to meet challenging customer requirements in a collaborative environment.

The most successful applicant for this role will meet the following requirements;
  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (Active Secret preferred)
  • Bachelor degree in STEM
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience (or 6 with a master's degree), to include:
    • Proven success in defining and leading system-level integration and test/verification plans.
    • Experience leading I&T (SEIT) teams through the system test life cycle, including requirements verification.
    • Skilled in planning and executing integration of system elements from multiple contractors/government agencies.
    • Ability to recommend and implement improvements to test processes and environments.
      Experience with CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end system integration, regression, and verification.
    • Knowledge of ground communication systems for cellular or satellite communications.
    • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for establishing test plans.
    • Strong creative problem-solving skills and ability to apply technical standards to new methodologies.
    • Collaborative team player with strong technical leadership capabilities.
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills to meet customer requirements.
  • Leadership in large-scale voice and data communications systems integration and testing is desired-but not required
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines for system-level integration helpful
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to create test plans desired
  • Experience with 3G/5G communications or large-scale network management systems.
  • Knowledge of satellite or cellular communication ground system operations.
  • Ability to recommend and implement improvements to test processes and environments.
  • Creative problem-solving and applying new methodologies to improve testing.
  • Experience working with multiple contractors and/or government agencies.
