Requirements

  • Five+ years of experience required
  • Must have a CompTIA Security + CE certification or be willing to obtain within 6 months of starting
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and Microsoft SQL Server 2022
  • Strong knowledge of DISA STIGS, ACAS, NESSUS, and SCAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment
  • Possess hands-on technical experience configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Windows® domains, services (DHCP, DNS, WINS), and applications
  • Familiar with the functions of the Windows registry, directory structure, and Group Policy
  • Understanding of IAVA, STIGs, ACAS and SCAP and applying system security configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with the following:
    • Windows 10/Windows 11 installation and configuration
    • Active Directory configuration
    • Group Policy installation/maintenance
    • Software Distribution
    • Workstation management/installation
    • Workstation imaging
    • Microsoft Exchange installation and configuration

Desired Skills

  • Programming skills
  • VMware vSphere (ESXi), Windows Administration, RHEL Administration, and VMware Workstation experience
  • Eight+ years of experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS) installation, maintenance, and tuning
  • Hands-on technical experience installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting with the ESS 5.10 baselines - considerations can be made for experience with earlier HBSS 5.x or 4.x baselines
  • Hands-on technical experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting with the Forescout CounterAct 7.4 or newer baselines
  • Strong scripting (Powershell, VBS, HTA, Batch) skills

Description

The Cyber Security Analyst will be a member of the TacMobile software HBSS/ESS Team, using Windows, Linux, and cybersecurity expertise to produce HBSS/ESS security updates and baselines for the fleet.
  • Participating in the creation and configuration of custom rule sets for Program of Record systems for Naval programs
  • Working multiple versions of Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) and McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Windows, RHEL and GOTS to support the P8 Aircraft
  • Creating easily installable security update packages for HBSS/ESS and Forescout
  • Creating updated software baselines
  • Developing innovative scripting and automation solutions for software deployments
  • Installing and configuring COTS/GOTS products
  • Performing routine cybersecurity analysis to maintain a hardened security posture
  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of supporting documentation including, System Version Documents (SVD), System Administration Manuals (SAM), Software Build Plans and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)
  • Being responsible for ensuring the security posture of fielded products (HBSS) are in compliance with all applicable DoD and Naval orders, directives, and standards
  • Participating in the generation of build processes
  • Providing supporting documentation [Trouble Reports (TR), System Version Document (SVD), and Load Plan/Installation Procedures (IP)]
  • Installing GOTS and COTS, troubleshooting, and analyzing extensive information systems security and the controls implemented to secure a system
  • Being responsible for cyber security posture of Program of Record systems by reviewing and responding to latest IAVM and Cyber Directives in the form of manual or automated patches to the fleet

Travel Requirements

Must be able to travel occasionally (30% year average) in support of systems fielding at U.S. military installations; mostly within US
