Role Overview:
The ERP Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and improving the ERP system to ensure it supports our business operations effectively. This position involves overseeing system implementations, ensuring smooth operations, providing user support, managing data integrity, and optimizing business processes. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that the ERP system meets the evolving needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
System Implementation & Upgrades: Lead the deployment and upgrading of ERP systems, ensuring they are configured to meet the organization's needs and that all components are functioning properly.
Ongoing Maintenance & Support: Maintain the ERP system, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth, uninterrupted system performance.
User Training & Assistance: Provide training sessions for new users, offering ongoing support across the organization to maximize system proficiency.
Business Process Optimization: Regularly analyze and enhance business processes within the ERP system to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Data Management & Reporting: Ensure data integrity within the ERP system, manage data entry, and generate reports to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
Vendor Collaboration: Manage relationships with ERP vendors, addressing technical issues, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the system aligns with business requirements.
Security & Compliance: Ensure system security and compliance with industry regulations by implementing appropriate measures and conducting regular audits.
Adherence to Standards & Laws: Operate in accordance with established procedures, standards, and relevant regulations while continually updating job knowledge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of ERP systems, databases, and software integration.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly to minimize operational disruptions.
Analytical Skills: Expertise in analyzing complex data and business processes to drive continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide support, facilitate training, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
Project Management: Strong project management skills, including experience handling ERP system implementations and upgrades on time and within budget.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in ensuring system reliability and data accuracy.
Adaptability: Ability to stay current with evolving ERP technologies and processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in Operations, Finance, Program Management, Cost Accounting, and Contracts to support business needs.
Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information in a secure and confidential manner.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of experience working with manufacturing ERP/MRP systems.
Familiarity with database management systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or other related platforms.
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports) is preferred for generating reports and insights.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational departments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Previous experience with government contracts is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
