This role requires a fully adjudicated secret clearance at a minimum. This work is primarily remote, with one day onsite required at the Los Angeles Air Force Base.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Manager SME to join our team. You’ll support organizations, and mission partners by providing a broad range of acquisition, financial, and administrative capabilities. The position ensures effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, sustainment, and lifecycle acquisition activities. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in DoD Financial Management, with a specific emphasis on supporting space programs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert-level financial management support for DoD programs, with a primary focus on space-related initiatives.
Ensure seamless execution of financial processes for acquisition and lifecycle activities.
Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure compliance with DoD financial policies and procedures.
Utilize and manage data within the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCAR) for accurate program cost tracking and reporting.
Leverage FM Suite and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) systems to manage financial operations, invoicing, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights and support decision-making processes for senior leadership.
Ensure adherence to Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) or Space Systems Command (SSC) standards and guidelines, providing expertise to enhance program outcomes.
Prepare and present detailed financial reports, summaries, and analyses using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 12 years of directly applicable experience in DoD Financial Management.
At least 10 years of experience in financial management roles supporting space programs, with AFSPC or SSC experience strongly preferred.
8+ years of expertise in the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCAR).
3+ years of hands-on experience with FM Suite and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF).
5+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Master's degree in a related field such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.
Note: Candidates without a Master’s degree must have an additional 4 years or more of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of DoD financial policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
