Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our community of committed HR professionals supporting the Tactical, Propulsion, and Ordinance Operating Unit. This full time, on-site position is located in Rocket Center, West Virginia.

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Implements Human Resources policies as a generalist, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues.
  • Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, labor relations, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, EEO, and/or training and development.
  • Organize, prioritize, plan, schedule, and execute Business Unit and Division HR projects and initiatives.
  • Support both union and non-union employees in a challenging, dynamic business and manufacturing environment.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Support Labor Relations Manager with union related activities.
  • Support activities related to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Total Rewards programs and DE&I goals.
  • Support activities related to community engagement such as college and university outreach goals.

Basic Qualifications:

This role may be filled at either a level 1 or a level 2

Basic Qualifications for a Level 1:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field and 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree in Business, Human Resource Management, Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, or related field.

Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
  • Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) from an accredited institution
  • Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and influence others.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PHR (SHRM-CP) or SPHR (SHRM-SCP) certification.

Salary:
  • Level 1: $52,800-$79,200
  • Level 2: $63,800-$95,800
