Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Clearfield, Utah.

As quality engineering, we define and monitor mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. We assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers are in accordance with contractual requirements. In addition, we assess program performance and risks and help to determine resources to ensure contract compliance.

Based on the qualifications below, this role may be filled as a Quality Analyst 2/3.

Responsibilities include the following:

Lead data collection, analysis, and customer interface

Supports the Program, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams with data analytics for improvement processes.

Authoring documentation to instruct operations on the successful execution of quality requirements

Manage and coordinate nonconformance containment and corrective action implementation activities

Write and manage risk mitigation actions and ensure their implementation

Contribute to design change control reviews and implementation

Support internal audits, process observations, and area assessments

Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships across functions, programs, customers, program management, and other support organizations

Develop and implement program quality inspection plans,

Work with the Engineering team to ensure that part requirements are correctly described and documented in the production work plans

Participate with corrective action or improvement teams and promote the use of data to assist in the improvement effort

Basic Qualifications:

Quality Analyst
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance special program access
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in composite manufacturing; at least one year of experience in quality and/or mission assurance.
  • 2 years MRB experience and/or qualify for MR authority

Principal Quality Analyst
  • Ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance special program access
  • 5 Years with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD
  • Experience in composite manufacturing; at least one year of experience in quality and/or mission assurance.
  • 3 years MRB experience and/or qualify for MR authority

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance was last investigated within 5 years, and the ability to obtain special program access
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T drawings
  • Knowledge of Inspection Plans and First Article Inspections
  • Knowledge of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
  • Background in Composites

Work schedule:

Opening on B shift

Must be willing to work any shift

Work schedules can vary:

Shift B Monday - Thursday 10 hr. shift 4:00 pm - 2:30 am
Salary Range: $63,800 - $95,800
Salary Range 2: $78,700 - $118,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
