Description
The Health & Civil Sector at Leidos is seeking an Industrial Security Coordinator to support a Veteran’s Health Program. The candidate will be part of a team of program security representatives assisting in the background investigation process and ensuring the successful onboarding of new program personnel. The Industrial Security Coordinator will support Leidos Health and Civil Division programs which provide essential support to service members and their families, enhancing readiness, resilience, and quality of life while promoting operational effectiveness and community well-being.

Pay Range: Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00

The Health & Civil Sector at Leidos is seeking an Industrial Security Coordinator to support a Veteran’s Health Program. The candidate will be part of a team of program security representatives assisting in the background investigation process and ensuring the successful onboarding of new program personnel. The Industrial Security Coordinator will support Leidos Health and Civil Division programs which provide essential support to service members and their families, enhancing readiness, resilience, and quality of life while promoting operational effectiveness and community well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Performs general office work which may include reviewing and preparing government security forms for submission, data entry, filing and organizing and related work.
- Maintenance of Personnel Security Databases to track candidate progress.
- Working in a shared mailbox.
- Sends and manages receipt of security documents submitted from applicants.
- Reviews all required paperwork and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the government for processing.
- Contacts applicants or Sub Company Points of Contact via telephone and/or email to obtain additional information and assist with Security form completion.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3 or more years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are required.
- Must be able to proofread for accuracy, completeness, grammar, and format.
- Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines.
- Must be highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in administrative tasks, including but not limited to answering phone calls and scanning documents.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential, as well as the ability to use discretion when handling sensitive personal information.
- Must be able to compare data across multiple forms and applications to ensure consistency.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member are essential.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Proven ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers, subordinates, high-ranking officials, and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Computer literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data entry.
- Due to US Government contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a shared mailbox.
- Experience with DOD Suitability package for personnel in Childcare positions.
