The Health & Civil Sector at Leidos is seeking an Industrial Security Representative in support of a Veteran’s Health Program. The candidate will be part of a team of program security representatives assisting in the background investigation process and ensuring the successful onboarding of new program personnel.   The Industrial Security Representative will support Leidos Health and Civil Division programs which provide essential support to service members and their families, enhancing readiness, resilience, and quality of life while promoting operational effectiveness and community well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting and reviewing Security Policy from government customer.
  • Develop, administer and audit the security program for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of information.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Security Metric Reports for analysis.
  • Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures and systems .
  • Perform in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for the program.
  • Assisting candidates through the entire public trust vetting process to include coordinating fingerprinting.
  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff.
  • Reviews all required paperwork and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the government for processing.
  • Maintain internal security database.
  • Review and interpret DD254s as well as flow down of sub DD254s. 


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant course of study (e.g. Business, Security, Criminology, Psychology) with 4 or more years of experience with public trust requirements and processing, OR a Master's degree with 2or more years of experience with public trust requirements and processing.
  • Currently hold and be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to enter data efficiently, timely and correctly in order to meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experienced working in a dynamic work environment, supporting several tasks at once, with potential for short deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential.
  • Posses outstanding customer service skills and the ability to deal with all levels of management both internally and externally.
  • Posses practical knowledge of and experience with DISS.
  • Due to US Government contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Practical knowledge of and experience with SIMS.
  • Experience working in a shared mailbox.
  • Experience with DOD Suitability package for personnel in Childcare positions.

Pay Range: Pay Range $63,700.00 - $115,150.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
