Position Description

NAVAIR is currently seeking a Engineering Policy Lead to join our team at headquarters. Must have background in engineering policy and proven experience leading complex projects. The candidate is responsible for the development and implementation of policy, standardization, and compliance for engineering competencies under the cognizance of NAVAIRSYSCOM.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will champion the Director of Engineering strategic initiatives by aligning efforts across SYSCOMs, NAVAIR and subordinate commands.
  • You will implement strategic initiatives across NAVAIR and subordinate commands to deliver capability ahead of our adversaries by improving the way we do business.
  • You will provide functional and technical leadership and supervision as the Engineering Policy and Strategic Projects Head
  • You will coordinate, manage, and develop engineering policy, standards and overseeing strategic initiatives/efforts
  • You will provide technical support and discipline in the development and maintenance of engineering processes, standards, and strategic planning and management of engineering related initiatives
  • You will maintain continuing relationships and personal contact with leading technical and management personnel
  • You will exercise managerial and supervisory oversight authority over personnel
