Position Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the GT30000, Acquisition Management Dept. of NAWCTSD ORLANDO.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will plan, direct, manage, and control all aspects of assigned projects for the NAWCTSD from initial plans through acquisition and delivery of the hardware and support systems.
  • You will exercise centralized authority and control over resources management, such as funding, contracts, priorities, schedules and personnel, as required to ensure completion of assigned projects within the time and resources allotted.
  • You will formulate and determine policy within the scope of assigned tasks, and on a broader level influence the policies of the Command.
  • You will span the entire training systems acquisition process, including definition, analysis, design, development, integration of sub-systems, assigned modifications on a case-by-case basis, and field evaluation.
  • You will identify individuals responsible for each task, obtain time and cost estimates from the individuals, establish critical milestones, and develop precise schedules and systematic review/assessment procedures.
  • You will formulate and direct teams of multi-disciplinary professionals from various organizational elements of the NAWCTSD.
  • You will develop acquisition strategies for the various components of the training system including the determination of which elements or phases will be performed by contractors and what criteria will be used for selection and evaluation.
  • You will serve as the primary Command management official for liaison with appropriate SYSCOM PMs, training agencies, training support agencies, Fleet Project Team(s), and user commands in all matters related to designated projects.
