TIAG is now hiring a Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our team supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) in Charleston, SC. This is a hybrid position, with flexibility for remote work but also requires being on site with the customer and team up to 3x per week.
TIAG will support NIWC in developing and implementing a next generation, cloud-enabled, physical security access control system to ensure authorized personnel to gain access to barracks doors aligned with controlled access requirements. The Principal Cybersecurity Engineer will be critical in the design, planning and implementation of this project from inception and will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, assessing risks, and managing security projects as applicable within the organization.
This position is located in Charleston, SC and requires travel within the state as needed.

Pay Range: $150,000 - $180,000 per hour

Position Responsibilities:
- Support customers and team members with activities to secure Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS) systems.
- Lead the Risk Management Framework (RMF) practice requirements to achieve IATT/ATOs within authorized timelines.
- Author DoD RMF Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) artifacts. Document a system from an RMF perspective using Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio and other appropriate tools.
- Understanding of DoD and Federal Cloud Computing standards and architecture.
- Engage in strategic mission development and opportunity growth. Support the Project Manager with technical leadership, coordination, estimations and team scheduling.
- Support programmatic activities such as training, hiring, cost estimation, deliverables, and resourcing.
- Develop strategies and plans to improve, implement, manage, and monitor security posture of various systems.
- Strengthen customer relationships with onsite engagement and solution recommendations to complex challenges and roadblocks.
- Collaborate with identified customer and team leads to research, recommend and document logical and physical solutions that prevent, detect and correct the system to be certified and accredited.
- Research and apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), SRG, and industry best practices.
- Use ACAS to scan for vulnerabilities and make recommendations on remediating/mitigating the findings.
- Installation and use of cybersecurity tools like Endpoint Security System (ESS), Security Information and Events Manager, NMAP, Wireshark, Comply to Connect, etc.
- Plan, develop, execute, and document results of security test procedures.
- Prepare and deliver project briefings and participate in onsite events of project status and/or strategic mission.
- Continue developing relations with Industry leaders and vendors to form alliances and partnerships.
- Provide support and guidance on other programs/projects as needed based on availability.
- Support market facing business development activities like conferences, industry events and in generation of content for marketing and social media campaigns related to that service area.
- Participate in business and proposal development activities and work alongside General Managers and Portfolio Owners to identify and shape both organic and new business opportunities through proposals, technical demonstrations, trade shows, etc.
Required Experience:
- DoD Secret Clearance preferred
- Associates of Science (A.S.) or A.A. in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering or similar preferred
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in cyber security; Industrial Control System (ICS) experience preferred
- Strong experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and full use of Marine Corps Compliance and Authorization Support Tool (MCCAST) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Understanding of cloud technologies and LenelS2 OnGuard preferred
- Experienced team lead to include programmatic support (budgeting, resourcing, deliverables)
- Experience with developing and engineering security solutions for enterprise-level systems
- Experience with developing presentations for and briefing high level leadership
- Ability to use decision making behaviors that require analytical, interpretative, and creative thinking that may not conform to existing processes and practices to solve security problems
- Ability to manage time well to meet assigned milestones
- Experience managing change and fostering a collaborative team environment for successful delivery
