Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: 1) performing nursing assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plan according to standardized medical protocols for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses; 2) coordinating with health care providers to ensure continuity of care through referral and/or follow-up; 3) performing medical surveillance physical examinations for personnel exposed to hazardous agents.
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology, Public Health Education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Licensure Requirements:
Applicants must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination and possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.(Note: You must attach a copy of your license.)

- Provide nursing assessment, diagnosis and implementation of a treatment plan according to standardized medical protocols for occupational and non-occupational illnesses.
- Perform selected technical portions of health examinations, e.g. health and work history, vital signs, vision, hearing and pulmonary function tests, and electrocardiograms.
- Recognize and make specific recommendations to the physician for the reasonable accommodation of conditions which interfere with the employee's ability to safely perform the essential functions of the job.
Conditions of Employment
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
