n order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include experience with weapons system Acquisition Logistics and/or like experience; knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition and logistics management processes and initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

- Responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and developing second source logistics support for a major weapons system or subsystem, integrating separate functions of supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities needed to sustain fielded systems, Participates in determining support requirements, i.e. workloads, schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills and training.
- Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates Develops, refines, analyzes, recommends, and implements logistics policies applicable to assigned projects. Manages and monitors projects throughout their execution.
- Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts.
- Performs unit field studies and analyzes and/or item reliability and/or maintainability of an assigned system or type of equipment for different activities within a component/agency/command regional designation.
- Plans, organizes, and executes logistics activities for the organization. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and Branch objectives.
- Participates in special logistics management operation projects and initiates and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.
- Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Emergency-Essential (E-E), Non-Combat Essential (NCE), Capability-Based Volunteer (CBV) and Key Designated Position Statement
- Incumbents on this position may need to be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are not available.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report." Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
- This position has been designated as an Non-Critical Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
- The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements applicable to the career category designated on the position description within 24 months of assignment.
- This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
- This position MAY be eligible for a recruitment/relocation incentive. Specifics will be discussed with the Selecting Official.
- Up to 25% travel possible
- Employee must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance based on a SSBI and Special Access Program eligibility.
- Employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include evenings and weekends and may be subject to recall.
- Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties.
- Employee may be required to travel on Commercial or Military aircraft for TDY.

- Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents.
- Knowledge of acquisition requirements sufficient to serve as a Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR).
- Knowledge of the missions, roles, function, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities tat govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
- Basic knowledge of security, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Broad knowledge of logistics management theories, principles, concepts, processes, policies and regulations.
- Broad knowledge of logistics functions, programs and systems applicable to this position.
