On our team, you'll design, create, and implement complete sof tware systems that will transform client operations, increase data accessibility, and optimize AI / ML systems. You'll ensure that your team's solutions consider the broader ecosystem and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Additionally, you'll deepen your skill set in areas like sof tware engineering, machine learning operations ( MLOps ) , and sof tware deployment / integration into a variety of different mission environments.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 6+ years of experience as a software engineer building production-grade applications with a programming language, such as Python, Rus t, Go, Scala, or Java
- 3+ years of experience with Python
- 2+ years of experience with deploying and integrating containerized sof tware applications using container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- 2+ years of experience with implementing event-driven or streaming architectures leveraging Kafka, Amazon SNS, RedPanda, or Apache Fli nk
- 2+ years of experience with running, troubleshooting, and debugging applications on Linux systems
- 1+ years of experience with building or maintaining production-grade RESTful APIs or sof tware interfaces
- Experience with evaluating architectural tradeoffs and designing robust service-based sof tware applications for scalable use
- Experience with using Git for version control in a collaborative sof tware development environment
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science field and 5+ years of experience in sof tware engineering, or 9+ years of experience in sof tware engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience working in a medium-large Agile teams and mentoring junior engineers
- Experience with decomposing sof tware requirements into actionable tasks for junior engineers
- Experience with building continuous integration / continuous deployment ( CI / CD ) pipelines using Je nk ins or related tooling
- Experience with troubleshooting containerized sof tware deploying in cloud environments
- Knowledge of the machine learning operations ( MLOps ) workflows and tooling
