The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida is searching for a Government SAP Security Officer, SSC/AA (NH-0080-03, GS 12/13 equivalent).
Description:
Are you committed to staying one step ahead of the threats and protecting our organization's most sensitive and classified information? We are seeking a highly motivated Information Protection Security professional to step up for the NH-03 Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) role. The modern threat landscape is complex and ever-changing, with new risks and vulnerabilities emerging every day. This role will be critical in providing expert technical advice in the complex area of security for special access programs; classification management program; security violations; security education and awareness training; and inspections for assigned programs. We encourage innovation and creativity in our work. You will have the opportunity to explore new methodologies and solutions to improve the security and efficiency across multiple security disciplines to enhance our SAP program management. In this role, you will be tasked with organizational security oversight of special access programs to the Operations Integration Directorate and SLD 45. Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Expert knowledge of program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices.
3. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.
4. Ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Installation Commander.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
6. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.

- U.S. Citizenship Required
- This position is eligible for situational telework only.
- PCS funding is available.
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- Work may occasionally require the employee to work outside the normal business hours.
- This position is designated national security position.
- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification is required within 2 years in accordance with DOD 3305.13 M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, "Confidential Financial Disclosure Report." Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
- This position is subject to Temporary Duty Station (TDY) approximately 15 days per year.
