Our NORAD Operations Group
Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:
• Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.
• Mitigation of orbital conflicts.
• Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.
• Operations and maintenance of classified communications.
• Software development and integration.
NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:
• Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado
• Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado
• Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska
• Vandenberg Space Force Base, California
• Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world
Description of Duties:
The ESS Engineersupports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:
• Have knowledge working with Trellix Endpoint Security
• Directly involved with policy decisions that affect cybersecurity framework and must clearly communicate specific cybersecurity concerns and provide solutions to incorporate effective measures against possible compromise as part of the organization's cybersecurity strategic plan.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of information technology security systems and protocols.
• Design and implement security measures for hardware, software, and network platforms to ensure protection from cyber-attacks and any other possible harmful intrusions that could compromise or damage data and network infrastructure.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management as well as others involved in information technology infrastructure.
• Work as effective communicators with respect to training and information dissemination concerning all aspects of security measures.
• Assess existing cybersecurity systems and protocols and design and implement upgrades to existing measures as well as implementing new procedures.
• Constantly conduct risk-assessments of existing network hardware and information delivery systems to prevent and mitigate risk.

Basic Requirements:
• Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
• 5 years of related experience in ANY 1 (or more) of the following: cybersecurity, IT security, Network Systems, OR any other related field
• Candidate must meet **ONE of the following guidelines per DoDM 8140
o A BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
o Certification in One of the following: Cloud or GICSP or SSCP or Security or GSEC
o Have training in One of the following: F07DZZ1 or M03385G or M10395B or M223854 or A-150-0045 now W-250-0750 or A-531-0021 or W-250-0750 or A-150-3400 now W-250-0750 or A-150-1980 or A-150-1202 or A-150-1203 or A-150-1250 or A-150-1855 / A-150-1940 or A-113-0205 or A-113-0175 or A-113-0018 or A-113-0382 or A-113-0027 or A-113-0383 or A-113-0175 or A-113-0202 or A-113-0233 or DISA-US1379
• 2 or more years' experience implementing and sustaining endpoint and network security utilizing Trellix ESS
• 2 or more years' experience in Windows and Linux enterprise administration
• 1 or more years' experience in Windows and/or Linux administration
Desired Requirements:
• Research, analysis, and data de-confliction amongst multiple data sources
• Willingness to learn new methods and systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
This position is expected to pay $125,000 - $135,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
