A Production Support Electrical Engineer job is available with our client in Tucson, AZ. In this role you will be responsible for debugging complex circuit card assemblies and/or electro-mechanical systems. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years or relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsibilities include the ability to make a quick assessment of a problem, identify additional information required, understand the resources available, compare the urgency of the issue to other failures/issues, and to take the understanding of these parts and create a path for troubleshoot and/or correction and final resolution.
* Able to communicate this plan to a cross functional team with diverse backgrounds.
* Continue to drive updates and status of this plan along the way.
* Problem resolution of production factory and/or supplier issues, troubleshooting, maintenance of technical data package including creation of change documentation using cPDM, presentation of change packages in ERB/CCB
* Take ownership and drive issues to completion by coordinating team members and resources.
* Participate in peer reviews of other engineers from Engineering and Operations groups.
* Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support
* Other general electrical engineering tasks relating to production support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen
* Must have an Active/Interim Secret Clearance
* Bachelor"s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Combination of Technical Degree and relevant experience may be considered with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional work experience
* Experience with RF and/or mixed signal electronics testing and hands on experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies.
* Experience with RF measurements, i.e. phase noise, spurious, S and X parameters, ETC. Familiarity with RF test equipment, i.e. DMM, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Network Analyzer and Spectrum Analyzer and phase noise analyzer.
* Ability to read and understand schematics, test instructions, test requirements to be able to root cause failures and provide disposition.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a Self-starter and work independently.
* Well versed with high performance Digital Receiver and Exciters (DREX) and mixed signal processing electronics unit RF CCAs, environmental test equipment, production test equipment, and RF hardware and software integration and test.
* Able to translate between requirements and test results to disposition hardware failures.
