About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a full-time Manager, BI Engineering to support our manufacturing clients' large scale digital transformation with overall 15 + Years of Extensive Industry experience working with Global customers.

The Manager, BI Engineeringis responsible for ensuring the day-to-day development of bi reports and maintaining requirements of stakeholders. This role will be the primary interface with the management team and will work cross functionally with various IT functions to streamline operations focusing primarily on common ITIL processes and agile implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Foster a collaborative team environment through mentorship and the development of team members
• Align team objectives with organizational goals
• Assist in building the team by identifying top talent and onboarding new team members
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and recognize achievements
• Work with and help to optimize a distributed data team
• Support compliance with best practices related to data availability and security procedures
• Apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to resolve support data issues as they arise
• Participate in design and upcoming release discussions with the development teams to ensure impact on users is clearly understood and operational knowledge is built

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in bi development role involving stakeholder requirement definition
• 3+ years of experience in building, mentoring, and leading a team
• Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant field or equivalent experience

Required Skills/Certifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Certifications in the data, analytics and BI space with focus on Power BI
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric and Copilot in Microsoft Power BI
• Extensive practical experience in designing and developing Power BI reports.
• Proficient in collecting and analyzing data from Data Lakes and various other sources.
• Strong skills in presentation and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to present ideas effectively to C-suite executives and other business stakeholders, focusing on Power BI reports and visualizations.
• Experience working with Microsoft data integration platforms such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Synapse
• Strong experience with SQL (Python experience a plus)
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for source code management a plus
• Understanding of data management (e. g. permissions, security, and monitoring)
• Experience working with and building strong relationships with customers and external partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including logical structuring and delivering presentations
• Knowledge of working with helpdesk tools or platforms like ServiceNow is a plus
• Experience with cloud services is a plus (Azure) is a plus
• Eagerness to learn and think critically to design improved processes
