Data Intelligence, LLC (DI) is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Java Developer to support the Mission Planning (CAMPS) Modernization, Development, and Sustainment (MDS) at Scott Air Force Base, IL. This role requires expertise in full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) support, design, development, testing, integration, and deployment of cloud-based enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, software engineering best practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide full SDLC support for the design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based enterprise applications using Java.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and stakeholders, to understand business requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Develop and write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers to promote team growth and development.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve performance, reliability, and scalability issues across software applications.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in Java development and software engineering.
- Support software development and sustainment throughout the integration and deployment process.
- Deliver code and artifacts to the appropriate repositories within the Government's designated environment.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proficiency in Java with a strong understanding of its ecosystems and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in Java-based application development and reusable Java libraries.
- Solid understanding of Java concurrency patterns, MVC, JDBC, and RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, and AWT.
- Experience with class loading mechanisms and basic knowledge of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
- In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts.
- Experience working with popular web application frameworks like Play and Spark.
- Understanding of common design and architectural patterns.
- Experience handling external and embedded databases, as well as implementing scalable applications.
- Proficiency in creating database schemas that support business processes.
- Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools like Git and GitLab.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.
- Expertise in Continuous Integration (CI) and understanding of related best practices.
- 1+ year of experience with the Consolidated Air Mobility Planning System (CAMPS).
- 1+ year of experience with Magellan.
- Current U.S. Government Secret Security Clerance

- Experience with cloud platforms and microservices architecture.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to mentor and lead by example, promoting best practices in coding and design.
- Experience working within a government contracting environment, specifically with the Department of Defense (DoD).
