GSE Technician IVs are responsible for overseeing all the ground support equipment maintenance programs and assisting the company to meet goals through the provision of services specific to Pegasus. The GSE Technician IV will maintain, repair, and perform maintenance (preventive and on-demand) on aircraft ground support equipment (motorized and non-motorized, gasoline and diesel fueled) as needed.



The GSE Technician IV position is a support services position whose work routine is established and follows a set of procedures. It generally functions under close supervisory direction or guidance of the Director of GSE or the Station Manager.

Qualified candidates are eligible for up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus.



Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide safe and efficient operations for GSE Repairs
  • Proficient at Operating ground service equipment (GSE)
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical problems on GSE and coordinates repairs
  • Operate aircraft de-icing equipment and participate in deicing events
  • Repair electric/hydraulic systems and be able to read electrical/hydraulic schematics
  • Coordinates and assists with Emergency repair calls while on duty.
  • Duties include, but not limited to, troubleshooting, tune-up, repair and overhaul of power-plant, drivetrain, electric and hydraulic systems.
  • Helps improves the reliability of the equipment through improvements in preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Use systems that track/ trend equipment performance to identify and proactively address reliability issues. Ensure their team completes data entry requirements for work completed.
  • Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the GSE work areas.
  • Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • High School graduate or GED
  • 5 year's experience in the industrial maintenance field
  • Must be willing to work in inclement weather
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably
  • Able to fluently read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints
  • Must be a self starter and willing to take the initiative
  • Able and willing to work without direct supervision
  • Required to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
  • Successfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history
  • and pre-employment drug test
  • May be required to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Accept all other assigned duties by Manager
