Responsibilities
Program Description:
With a fresh, new 7-year contract, this program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an important Intelligence Community (IC) customer with a focus on critical, space domain missions and supporting IT infrastructure. The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the systems engineering life cycle beginning with conops development, where we work directly with users, potentially going into harm's way, who will be dependent on these systems. We then capture their requirements and work closely with developers to deliver these essential capabilities. We get involved with setting up and running tests to ensure these cutting-edge capabilities will meet the stringent requirements and then we support transition to operations. Once in operations, our teams work closely with the users to make sure critical operations are successful, providing important information to support critical decisions by policy makers. The program also supports client acquisition strategy, future technology development and modernization efforts.
Specific Position Description:
This position is for a team lead position, leading a team of three SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisors), in support of a customer whose focus is to provide critical mission services to other government partners. Duties for this specific role will include:

Specific Position Description:
This position is for a team lead position, leading a team of three SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisors), in support of a customer whose focus is to provide critical mission services to other government partners. Duties for this specific role will include:
- Leads a team of SETA in support of systems acquisition and engineering objectives related to a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) mission. Provide tasking and resource management for a complex set of project objectives.
- Serves as the primary interface with the government program managers, providing any necessary support to ensure their success.
- Leads coordination with other internal agency capability providers to ensure complete, end-to-end mission performance and sustainment.
- Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative.
- Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
- Using a holistic approach, designs, develops, evaluates and modifies end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle.
- Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics.
- Ensures requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods.
- Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements.
- Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
- Designs interfaces and brings system elements together so they work as a whole.
- Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
- Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
- Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
- Translates high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with multi-discipline engineering teams to develop lower level detailed requirements.
- Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
- Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly
- 10 to 12 years with BS or 8 to 10 years with MS or 5 to 7 years with a PHd.
- (4 years of relevant experience in space systems development/acquisition program can be substituted)
- Technical BS in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or related technical degree.
- Experience with Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology and associated TCPED processes (Tasking Collection, Planning, Exploitation and Dissemination)
- The ability to work well within a team of engineers
- Demonstrated success in working with government customers.
Desired:
- Experience in leading technical teams and government systems acquisitions
- 4 or more years experience acquiring/developing ground segment hardware/software, supporting space based SAR systems.
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience as a SETA supporting customers working with requirements and other related readiness processes.
- Experience with RF based satellite communications.
- Experience with digital signal processing.
- Experience agile development process.
