Job Description:

Nightwing seeks a full-time Information Review and Release Analyst (full-performance level) in the Herndon, VA area in support of a dynamic Intelligence Community component offering a flexible work schedule. This is a production management position that supports the work of other analysts on the FOIA Litigation team.

The ideal candidate will have current or prior experience supporting litigation related to the release of information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Executive Order (EO) 13526, and/or Privacy Act (PA). These requests are submitted directly to the IC component by the general public, Presidential Libraries, or received upon referral or coordination from another government agencies.

The candidate must have a keen sense of attention to detail and be able to successfully apply critical-thinking skills when evaluating each unique case. Time management and the ability to collaborate with other team members is a must.

Typical Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
• Notifying the Case Management Support Team that a new litigation case needs to opened in the Case Management Tool/App.
• Sends a request to the Office of General Council (OGC) for an attorney to be assigned to each case
• Reviews, identifies and corrects administrative errors within each case in the database
- updating relevant information, and determining which cases can be closed out
• Updates various task lists and administrative spreadsheets
• Assists client Team Leads with metrics (weekly reminder email; weekly email to the Branch Chief)
• Assisting/reviewing cases that will be closed in the current year and uploads production documents to be made available on the clients public-facing website
• Attends weekly FOIA Litigation Team Meeting.
• Assists as needed for miscellaneous tasks (scanning, copying, Digital Transfer Officer (DTO)
• Collaborates with supervisory client POCs to recommend and implement changes that improves processes, workflows and standard operating procedures
• Works an eight-hour shift between 6:00AM -6:00PM, Monday-Friday.
• Infrequently provides surge support outside of normal office hours for short-fused emergent requests
Required Skills:

1. • • It is desired that the individual possesses a minimum of one (1) year of experience reviewing & redacting classified information OR served in a support role for Information Review & Release Analysts (IRRA) for the Sponsor or Intelligence Community (IC)
2. • Will also consider candidates with one or more years of experience in a position requiring analytic skills (such as intelligence analysts, foreign disclosure officers, CD/CI/CT analysts, etc.) AND a demonstrated familiarity with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act (PA), and Executive Order Mandatory Declassification Review (EOMDR) programs and Executive Order (EO) 13526 directive
3. • A college education is not required, however the candidate must able to use MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
4. • A driven self-starter who collaborates with client staff and has the capability to recommend and to adapt to new processes
5. • Must be a team player willing to collaborate and develop robust relationships with clients, colleagues and technical teams
6. • Skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and multitask in order to meet tight deadlines
7. • Goal oriented individual who is able to apply critical thinking and provide out of the box solutions
8. • Ability to communicate effectively with peers and various management levels delivering a proactive experience and approach to high quality services for all stake holders
9. • Must possess an active TS//SCI clearance with Poly on day one of employmentOptional Skills:
